The official website of the Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir was launched on August 18, 2014.

The Vrindavana Chandrodaya Mandir project was conceived by the devotees of ISKCON Bangalore to broadcast the glories of Sri Krishna and His transcendental abode Vrindavana all over the world in a manner that the contemporary world can appreciate. It will be the world’s tallest temple and estimated to cost Rs. 300 crores making it one of the most expensively built temples in the world. The Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir will not only house a temple for the worship of Lord Krishna but will also become a center for disseminating the profound message of the Bhagavad-gita and Srimad Bhagavatam.

Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir

Just as Lord Sri Krishna is worshipable, His abode Vrindavana Dham is also worshipable. So for devotees of Krishna, Vrindavana is a very important place, one of the spiritual capitals in our country. A sky scraper temple is something that Srila Prabhupada envisioned. So the devotees of ISKCON Bangalore wanted to have a monumental and iconic temple to celebrate and to commemorate the contributions that Lord Sri Krishna has made. It shall attract the current generation and when people associate with the temple, they get an opportunity to associate with Vedic knowledge and the cultural elements that are centered around spirituality, thus their consciousness will get spiritualized by the touch of the Supreme Spirit, Lord Sri Krishna.

The foundation stone for the Chandrodaya Mandir was laid on March 16 (Gaura Purnima – the auspicious appearance day of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu). The temple construction is expected to complete in the next 5 years. Devotees willing to donate can visit the site and make their offerings.
