This was followed by an inspiring lecture on the birth pastimes of Lord Krishna by His Grace Chanchalapathi Dasa, President, Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir and Vice Chairman, Akshaya Patra Foundation. He said, “Celebration of Sri Krishna Janmashtami is vital for human society for it is an opportunity to offer our devotional service to Lord Krishna and develop an understanding of His divinity. According to the Bhagavad-gita, such an understanding releases the soul from the bondage of material existence.”

Meanwhile the Utsav murtis of Sri Sri Radha Vrindavanchandra were dressed, decorated and offered a grand feast of more than 108 items. After the pravachana (lecture) at midnight, Sri Sri Radha Vrindavanchandra were offered a grand Maha Mangalarati accompanied by ecstatic Sankirtana by the thousands of devotees present.  After the delightful arati all the devotees were served Mahaprasadam.
