JAIPUR, June 25, 2018: The Panihati Chida Dahi festival was celebrated at Sri Sri Krishna Balaram Temple by the devotees of Hare Krishna Movement (HKM), Jaipur.
Addressing the devotees participating in the festival, His Grace Ratnangada Govinda Dasa, President HKM, Rajasthan said that this festival was the origin of the delicious prasadam in the form of Chida Dahi (Chipped Rice and Curd). This festival is celebrated in commemoration of a pastime that took place in the village of Panihati, in the state of West Bengal by Sri Nityananda Prabhu and His associates.
The celebrations which were witnessed by hundreds of congregation devotees included Abhishekam, Sankirtan and a Pallakki Utsav to the Nitai Gauranga Deities.
An ecstatic sankirtan was held at the Hingonia Gaushala where all workers at the Gaushala relished the delicious prasadam of chida dahi. Hare Krishna maha mantra chanting bags were gifted to all the workers.
