Lies Lies Lies and Chandra Bhanu Dasa
I was shocked to see the posting in Sampradaya Sun by Chandra Banu Dasa under the title “ISKCON Mumbai V Bangalore update" posted on Sun - June 6th 2012 .
The tone of the article is very derogatory and out rightly unvaishnava like. He does not seem to get tired of vilifying Madhu Pandit Dasa and ISKCON Bangalore yatra. Is such a tone necessary to give updates about the ongoing dispute between ISKCON Bangalore and Mumbai?
Whoever this Chandra Bhanu dasa is he should learn the basics of Vaishnava communication. It looks like he has not even learnt the first lessons of spirituality. I have been reading his previous articles too and it looks like he revels in criticizing and trying to find faults where there are none.
No one is going to buy his story that Madhu Pandit Dasa is a criminal and that he has stolen property. Almost everyone is aware of the Guru fall-downs and that the current guru system in ISKCON is not authorized. The unelected GBC, by changing the guru system regularly and passing resolutions on the fall downs have virtually written confession letters that their guru system is bogus. This fact has been exposed in various mainstream media in India and abroad.

I am a full time devotee at ISKCON Bangalore for about a decade and half. Madhu Pandit Prabhu is doing his services as President very ably and purely. It would be highly inappropriate to call him vile names and still pass off as being objective. I was very much part of the system prior to implementation of July 9th letter here. Prior to the year 1999, devotees were linked to a self- proclaimed ‘guru’ whereas now everyone is directly linked to Prabhupada.
This Chandra Bhanu Dasa seems to have some grouse and wants to vent his anger, at any cost. He wishes to only denigrate and demean the services that are going on at Hare Krishna Hill. My advice to him would be, please stop this vile language, we are tired of this. People will not get fooled into believing you if you just use flashy words and rhetoric. You may be an ardent supporter of Guru camp of ISKCON if that is your faith and if you don’t want to change, please keep it. Do not denigrate the services of the temple here. Everyone including the media knows the fact: Temples with Srila Prabhupada as the center are doing better than temples with the self-proclaimed gurus as the center.
I also wish to clarify some of the issues raised by this person. He said in his article:
“I personally do not hold any hope as, from the reports I have received, Madhu Pandit is just using this mediation time to try and prejudice Justice Ravindran by bringing the issue of the past fall downs of some gurus and the Ritvik issue. It appears that Madhu Pandit dasa is not at all serious for mediation.”
The above statement is nothing but a very bad attempt at misleading the readers of SUN. I am aware of the many discussions that are going on about the mediation. Madhu Pandit Prabhu and our devotees have made very serious attempts towards peace. They have been giving so many offers to Bureau. I am not at liberty to spell out the full details of the mediation as it is mandatory that those details are not divulged. If ISKCON Mumbai is really interested in brokering peace, I am sure Madhu Pandit Prabhu will happily co-operate. If peace has to work, both sides should do their bit. It will be unfair to blame us if peace fails.
Also, In his article Chandra Bhanu dasa quotes Doyaram Dasa and states:
“But then our lawyer pointed out that in the plaint Madhu Pandit dasa has asked for prayers of injunction against ISKCON in respect of all the properties and not just suit schedule property and the suit was dismissed meaning that prayer of Madhu Pandit dasa was rejected. That means ISKCON (registered in Mumbai) has every right to manage all the other properties of Madhu Pandit dasa as well.
Justice Kabir and Justice Nijjar decided to dismiss the IA but Madhu Pandit Dasa’s advocate requested that it may not be dismissed but be decided along with main matter (SLP). Our lawyer did not object to it and then court posted that our IA for dismissal of the SLP along with SLP and Madhu Pandit Dasa’s IA which the Supreme Court wanted to dismiss) along with contempt petition filed by Madhu Pandit dasa against me (personally) be heard on 22nd August 2012 as one of the first three matters.”
I was shocked on reading this and I clarified with Madhu Pandit Prabhu and the ISKCON Bangalore legal team who were actually present during the hearing. They asserted that “Doyaram has not properly heard the discussions”. It could be very much so as Doyaram himself has stated that he did not hear properly the exact date of the next hearing. The Legal team of Bangalore who were present during the hearing clarified that “At no point did either of the Judges state that they wanted to dismiss the IAs, they did not utter any such words as claimed by Doyaram. On the contrary they clearly said we shall not pass any orders today we shall post this matter for further hearing.”

Another assertion by Chandra Bhanu dasa:
“Madhu Pandit dasa and company in contrast had a lackluster event. In the past, Hare Krsna Hill would be jam- packed on Janmastami, but since ISKCON was celebrating in five venues, those crowds didn't go to Madhu Pandit's…”
I do not know why he calls the wonderful Janmastami festival held on Hare Krishna hill as one being conducted by Madhu Pandit Dasa and co. Is ISKCON Bangalore a Madhu Pandit Inc. or is it a temple where Srila Prabhupada is worshiped and Krishna is served? Anybody with some common sense can make out that such a statement is totally biased to say the least. He says that the event was a lackluster one but on the contrary it was a resounding success. On regular days around 15000 devotees visit the temple, And on Janmastami of 2011, about a lakh pilgrims visited and had darshana of Sri Sri Radha Krishna-chandra. All sevas went on very smoothly and many important guests attended the festival. Midnight Abhisheka was telecast live in local channels.

One last piece of advice to Chandra Bhanu Dasa is please get your facts right before posting something. If you are unable to stop your hatred, please keep it to yourself and not spread the same. It sure will destroy your own spiritual life. Communicate your side of the story without vituperative outbursts and if you cannot; do not post anything.
I often visit Sampradaya sun. By posting blasphemous articles of Chandra Bhanu Dasa, Rocana Prabhu and their team has allowed the use of their website for false propaganda of ISKCON Mumbai and their self proclaimed gurus. Why they do not clarify with ISKCON Bangalore before posting these articles is not a great mystery. We all know that Rocana Prabhu is very much allergic to implementation of July 9th letter and this bias clouds his judgment and he allows his forum to be used for attacks against devotees who are part of the rtvik camp. Hope he reconsiders posting of articles by propaganda mongers of ISKCON Mumbai.
