Hyderabad Nov 30, 2017: The Hare Krishna Movement (HKM), Hyderabad, celebrated Gita Jayanti at its Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple located at Road#12, Banjara Hills. Gita Jayanti is the day on which Lord Sri Krishna delivered the Supreme Knowledge to His dear devotee, Arjuna on the battle field of Kurukshetra directly and indirectly to the entire mankind. To mark this divine occasion, Gita Jayanti is celebrated the world over by Krishna devotees.
The Gita Jayanti celebrations began at 5.30 p.m. with a grand Hari Nama Sankirtan and 108 Gita sloka parayana for the pleasure of Lord Krishna to bring in peace & prosperity to all.
Speaking on the occasion, His Grace Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa, President of HKM & Akshaya Patra, Telangana said that, "Bhagavad Gita is the original and the latest message meant for humanity. The Gita speaks fundamentally of five basic concepts viz., Supersoul, Individual soul, Nature, Karma & Time and the interactions between them. The Gita was spoken to Arjuna on the battle-field. So aptly in a war-like LIFE situation that we all undergo every day, the Gita’s message shows us the way and provides all the guidance that a seeker requires to lead a dharmic life performing all his duties in an unattached way and not hankering after the results. By keeping the Bhagavad Gita in the house and by reading it every day, one can uproot all misery, depressions of life & gain confidence to execute our duties victoriously.
Like Arjuna, if we hear the Bhagavad Gita every day, surrender to Krishna with devotion and execute our duties while remembering Krishna, then our victory and success is guaranteed in our day-to-day war-like LIFE."
The celebrations ended with a grand Maha Mangalarati to Srimad Bhagavad Gita.
