HYDERABAD, March 25, 2019: The Gaura Purnima festival was celebrated grandly at Hare Krishna Golden Temple, Swayambhu Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Kshetram, Banjara Hills Road #12, NBT Nagar on March 21.
Speaking at the celebrations, His Grace Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa – President of Hare Krishna Movement & Akshaya Patra Foundation (Telangana & AP) said that, “The Gaura Purnima festival is the appearance day of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu who established the Harinama Sankirtana Movement. Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s birth anniversary is celebrated as Gaura Purnima. This is the 533rd anniversary which falls on March 21st, 2019. He taught His devotees that the easiest spiritual path was by sankirtan & chanting the Maha mantra ‘Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare! Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare!’”
As part of the festival, there was a Pallakki utsava for Sri Sri Gaura Nitai. A Maha abhisheka with 108 kalashas along with a variety of fruit juices, flowers, panchamrita, panchagavya and sugandha dravya was performed. This was followed by Mangala Arati to the Lord with dhupa, deepa and flowers.
All the assembled devotees participated and enjoyed the ecstatic Hari Nama Sankirtana with devotion. Devotees offered 56 varieties (Chappan Bhog) of delicacies to the Lord — sweets, khara, fried items, fruit juices, etc.
At the end of the festival, Maha Mangala Arati was performed to Sri Gaura Nitai followed by ecstatic bhajans & soul stirring kirtans and devotional dance by devotees. Special performances like dramas, skits and dance kirtans were performed by the Hare Krishna Youth wing — FOLK (Friends Of Lord Krishna) & Congregation wing GIFTS (Gauranga International Foundation for Spiritual Services).
Special guests from the government and other dignitaries participated in the festival in addition to about 2000 devotees.

AHMEDABAD, March 25, 2019: Hare Krishna Mandir, Ahmedabad celebrated the divine appearance day of Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu on 21st March 2019. The celebrations included Pallakki utsav, maha-abhisheka, special bhajans, a play glorifying Namacharya Haridas Thakura, showering of flowers and water that were offered to Sri Sri Nitai Gauranga during the abhisheka.
