“We are all educated in modern science. Modern science is limited to only panchendriyas, what we can ascertain and investigate by five senses; it cannot go beyond that. Anything beyond that – they say it is superstition. But the fact is that the entire humanity is benefitting by all the areas of faith so we can’t let it go off just because of the influence of the western science dismissing them as superstitions. At the same time, caution is required as people who are motivated, abuse this situation of faith to cheat people,” said His Grace Madhu Pandit Dasa, President of ISKCON Bangalore, in a brain storming session that was held at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Bengaluru on June 3, 2017.
The session was held as a preliminary to a 3-day international conference that will be organized in Bengaluru later this year on the occasion of the 50th year of coronation of Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade as the Pattadhikari of Dharmasthala Manjunatha Swamy temple.
The conference is intended to create a platform where virtues and values of different faiths in building a positive human psyche are discussed in depth.
The event will be attended by well-known practitioners of faith, who will address the gathering on the virtues of their practice. The conference will also feature open discussions and documentation of presentations and discussions for the entire mankind to appreciate such practices and the values attached thereto.
