Bengaluru: Akshaya Patra Foundation’s Outride Hunger 2016, the second edition of the bike rally to create awareness on eliminating classroom hunger and illiteracy, was flagged off on Sunday.

Sandalwood actor Krishna Ajai Rao, Additional Commissioner of Police (traffic) M A Saleem, Malleswaram MLA Ashwath Narayan and 84-year-old biker R Chakravarthy flagged off the ride.

The event featured at least 300 participants from bike clubs Bajaj Avenger Club (Bengaluru), Biking Buddies, Bikers of India, Free Spirits Motorcycle Club, Gold Town Bikers, Highwaymen, IBRMC, Royal Indians Enfield Owners Club, Royal Rides Bangalore and individual riders.

The 24-km rally began from Akshaya Patra’s Hare Krishna Hill Kitchen on Chord Road, Rajajinagar, cruised through key areas such as Malleswaram, Race Course Road and Lalbagh Road till Vasanthapura Kitchen on Kanakapura Road.
