Guwahati, August 2, 2018: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) signed a MoU with the Government of Assam today for funding Akshaya Patra’s Mechanized Central Kitchen under its CSR programme. The kitchen will be set up in Guwahati at an estimated cost of Rs. 15.71 crores. The Akshaya Patra Foundation will provide mid-day meals for 50,000 schoolchildren with the help of this kitchen, in association with the state government.
The MoU was signed by Sri Kamal Baishya, Deputy Commissioner, Kamrup, Amingaon, Assam and Sri Rajkumar, DGM (ENG-Civil) representing AAI. The meeting was also attended by Sri D K Kamra, Regional Executive Director, NER; His Grace Vijay Pandit Dasa, Vice President, The Akshaya Patra Foundation, Guwahati and Sri Durgesh Gupta, Manager Operations, The Akshaya Patra Foundation, Guwahati and other officials of Airport Authority of India.
